Synopsis: Damien has grown up and become head of Thorn Industries, and the next-in-line for US Ambassador to England. However, his power is threatened, by the second-coming of Christ, prophesised to be born in the island of Britain in the Apocraphal writings, and the deadly daggers he had hoped were lost forever. Sensing when the second-coming occurs he sets out to kill what he believes is a new-born child. He does this by causing the deaths of all the babies born on a particular date in Britain. Other investigators aware of who he is also meet gruesome deaths. He begins a relationship with Kate who is attracted to him but perturbed by his nature and violence. She also worries about his influence over her young son Peter. Thorn Industries grows in power in the world, with control over food in developing countries, and Damien's disciples and followers also grow in numbers.
